Flowcoat UV Works Magic at Toyota Workshop

Flowcrete NZ worked with Concrete Specialist NZ to provide a hardwearing industrial flooring system for the new Toyota workshop in Hobsonville Auckland. The workshop is a  new build of 1300m2. 

Toyota wanted a special place to keep maximising the life, performance and safety of its vehicles through Toyota Care Service.

The Flowcoat UV hybrid system (Flowcoat OP + Deckshield UV) was specified to provide a robust, easy to clean finish that would maintain a functional, yet aesthetic surface despite the oils, brake fluids, impacts, and scrapes involved in cars maintenance activity.

The body coat Flowcoat OP is a hardwearing and solvent-free, epoxy resin flooring solution used to service various industrial workspaces by delivering the best level in protective and chemical resistant floor coatings.

The finish coat of Deckshield UV urethane was applied as a protective wear coat, offering a high level of UV and chemical resistance, extending the life cycle of the floor.

The contractor had a very narrow window to complete the floor over the Easter break before the owner set up the workshop equipment. This floor was completed in four days included the concrete floor preparation achieving an outstanding floor finish and promoting a close working relationship with the automotive company that has opened the door for another Toyota car workshop in Wairau Park, Auckland.
